If you are planning a drive along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, consider going to Humpback Rocks (near mile marker 6). Here you can take a short (1 mile) but steep climb up to the Rocks for magnificent views. Or you can tour the mountain farm, a reconstructed farm from the 1800′s, with costumed interpreters. Often on weekends there are performances of mountain music. Humpback Rocks is about a 45 minute drive from Blueberry Hill Farm.
Photo is of the Blue Ridge Mountains as seen from the back of Blueberry Hill Farm.
The early blueberries are ready to pick. The later bushes are loaded with berries. Looks like this will be a good year. All the rain we have had has certainly helped.
(Most of these photos, except the first one of the house and the one of Roger Neil, were taken with our son’s cell phone. Pretty amazing!)
